The new millennium ushered in a period of pageant relocation, with Mister World being held in India (2001), Lebanon (2003), China (2007), and Korea (2009). Winners during this decade hailed from Brazil (2003), Lebanon (2007), and Poland (2008).  In 2001, Godfrey Stevens from Curaçao became the first Black Mister World, signifying a growing embrace of diversity in the competition.

Shifting Tides (2010-2020):

The next decade saw a consistent venue for Mister World, with all pageants held in the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2019. This period also witnessed a rise in Latin American winners, with representatives from Venezuela (2010), Lebanon (2012), Brazil (2014), and Puerto Rico (2016) taking the crown. In 2019, Kaan Parsakoglu from Turkey became the first Mister World from a Muslim-majority nation.

Recent Developments (2020-2024):

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Mister World pageant was canceled. The competition resumed in 2021, held in Thailand, where Karolina Bielawska of Poland (Miss World 2019) crowned her male counterpart, Nguyen Phuoc Thinh from Vietnam. In 2024 (as of today, May 23, 2024), the Mister World pageant has not yet been held.

Beyond the Crown:

Mister World goes beyond just physical appearance. The competition emphasizes contests showcasing talent, sportsmanship, and a commitment to social responsibility. Mister World contestants participate in various charity events, raising awareness for global issues.
